Job Details

The Sr. Director, Data Office serves as a pivotal leader within the Data & Analytics organization, acting as the primary liaison between external market demands and internal operational capabilities. This role is instrumental in ensuring that the organization is agile and responsive to the evolving needs of customers and the market, driving strategic initiatives, and optimizing data-driven decision-making processes.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demand Management: Lead the development and implementation of demand management strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market needs. Facilitate collaboration across departments to prioritize projects and allocate resources effectively.

  • Financial Oversight: Oversee the financial management of data-related projects and initiatives. Ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, optimizing the return on investment for data initiatives.

  • Program Dependency Management: Identify and manage interdependencies between projects and programs within the data office. Ensure seamless coordination and communication to mitigate risks and maximize efficiencies.

  • Objective and Key Results (OKRs): Drive the establishment and tracking of OKRs across the Data Office. Foster a results-oriented culture that emphasizes accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for external partners and stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are understood and addressed. Strengthen partnerships to enhance the organization's market responsiveness.

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and strategic planning to elevate the role of data within the organization. Advocate for data-driven decision-making and innovation.

  • Team Development: Mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture. Encourage professional growth and continuous learning within the team.

Experience and Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in data management, business operations, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record in demand management, financial oversight, and program management.

  • Strong understanding and implementation experience with OKRs across functions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders and senior leadership.

  • Proven leadership in fast-paced environments, inspiring diverse teams.

  • Expertise in pitching strategy, managing expectations, and two-way communication.

  • Skilled in setting and meeting customer expectations.

  • Outstanding business acumen beyond financial discipline.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively.

  • Strong leadership, influencing, and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in presentation and negotiation.

  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to multi-task in cross-functional settings.

  • Advanced interpersonal skills for building relationships and navigating networks.

  • Clear understanding of budgeting, accounting, and financial systems.

  • Adaptable to change with strong prioritization and deadline management.

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
