300 N. Elm Street, Suite 101 Denton, TX 76201 m1services.com Job Summary: M1 is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic I - Wash Rack who leads daily aircraft Wash Rack operations. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Ensures aircraft forms documentation is complete and aircraft is ready for washing. * Prepares aircraft for cleaning using specific technical data and other applicable directives to include covering of transparencies and wheels, taping of moisture sensitive areas and panels. * Positions and uses powered and non-powered ground equipment such as compressors and light units. * Accomplishes exterior aircraft washing utilizing portable platforms, ladders, brushes, rags, water hoses, pressure spray wash equipment and approved chemicals while properly using appropriate protective equipment (PPE). * Removes all tape, and protective equipment installed prior to washing as required by specific tech data. * Lubricates aircraft using specific technical data and other applicable directives. * Inspects and identifies aircraft for corrosion prevention. * Receives technical guidance from Managers, Supervisors, Leads or higher-level technicians as required. * May be required to obtain and maintain special certifications required by AFI as directed by management. * Reviews and completes forms documentation pertinent to aircraft or equipment maintenance, enters maintenance actions into applicable MIS system and will make entries in forms, logs, records, or electronic equivalent as required. * Complete all assignments and tasks directed by managers, supervisors, leads, and more senior technicians. * Qualifications and Experience: * High school diploma or GED is required. Mathematics skills are desirable * Minimum of 4 years' experience on any aircraft with a minimum of one year of duties that included hands-on experience washing aircraft. * Sound working knowledge of MIS systems, forms documentation and strict adherence to aircraft technical data is required. * Must speak, read, write, and understand English with the ability to interpret technical data and special operating instructions in the same language. * Must be willing to deploy to support off-station requirements. * Performs housekeeping duties within 100 feet of assigned work areas (excluding bathrooms). * Performs vehicle use inspections, cleaning, and wash. * Performs any other supportive duties as assigned.
