Your opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A Analytics team! You will report directly to the Senior Director of FP&A and be a trusted business partner to the FP&A team. You'll support the preparation and analysis of New Relic's consumption business, including our weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadences of our reporting cycles. You will also tackle other strategic ad hoc tasks as the company continues to grow.


What you'll do



  • Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly consumption reporting
  • Annual and Long Range planning and budgeting process
  • Independently prepare board meeting materials and other board requests, providing accurate analysis and insightful commentary on key financial/operational metrics and performance drivers.
  • Actively involved in preparation of Quarterly Business Review (QBR) presentations, closely partnering with cross-functional teams and highlighting key recommendations and takeaways.
  • Monitor, update, and efficiently scale our Finance and Consumption data tables in Snowflake
  • Support different ad-hoc projects/requests to provide insights to different layers of the NR organization
  • Partner and provide analytical guidance to sales, pricing, engineering, other analytics teams
  • Proactively identify opportunities for financial process improvements


This role requires



  • 4+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analytics, public accounting, banking or equivalent industry experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated skills in financial analysis
  • Self-starter with a "can do" attitude who is comfortable asking questions and enjoys challenging the status-quo and problem-solving
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and deliver results in an unstructured environment
  • Attention to detail and the highest standards for accuracy and precision, with strong organizational skills
  • Intermediate experience with SQL (Joins)
  • Intermediate experience with Tableau
  • Expert level Skills in using both Excel and Google Suite
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.


Bonus points if you have



  • Technology industry experience and exposure, preferably software
  • Experience in Zuora, Netsuite, Salesforce, Snowflake
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting

The pay range below represents a reasonable estimate of the salary for the listed position. This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience.
