What You Can Expect



  • The Structural Engineering Advisor is responsible for the structural design, analysis, and construction oversight of infrastructure for renewable energy projects. This includes designing and analyzing structures for Solar, Wind, and Energy Storage facilities to ensure they can withstand environmental conditions. The role involves overseeing construction to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards. Additionally, the Structural Engineering Advisor will coordinate with other engineering disciplines and manage external engineering firms to ensure seamless project execution.


  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Structural Design and Analysis: Design and analyze structural components and systems for renewable energy projects, including foundations, racking/mounting equipment, and related infrastructure
  • Compliance/Oversight and Safety: Ensure designs comply with relevant safety standards, regulations, and building codes, and oversee adherence to design specifications during construction
  • Project Management: Manage the structural engineering aspects of projects, coordinating with contractors, clients, and other engineering disciplines
  • Technical Support and Mentoring: Providing technical guidance, support, and mentoring to team members
  • Site Evaluation: Evaluate potential project locations based on geotechnical conditions, hydrology, and other factors
  • Specification Development & Quality Assurance: Develop and update civil and structural specifications for project designs, and ensure high-quality project execution through design reviews and construction monitoring
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to renewable energy projects



What You'll Bring



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) license highly desired
  • Minimum of 10 years experience with structural design software and analysis tools
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and construction practices
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
  • Experience in renewable energy projects is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of geotechnical, hydrological, and environmental factors is beneficial



Additional Details



  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • This role requires attendance at a worksite on an as needed project basis to perform site assessments, attend construction meetings and activities
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 30% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record; for the use of fleet cars, personal and or hire cars when traveling, to drive to site locations and meetings
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • The position may expose the employee to weather conditions
  • Could involve some lifting to 50 Pounds, ENGIE safe work policy strictly to be adhered to



Compensation

Salary Range: $131,000 - $200,790 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
