The Global Sr. Director of Advanced Technology IOLs (ATIOLs) will lead the overall ATIOL portfolio strategy in collaboration and partnership with key stakeholders within the Global Surgical Franchise and other critical functions (e.g., NA Commercial, International Commercial, R&D, MTO, S&OP, etc.). Key Responsibilities
Lead & manage a team of Global Directors/Sr. Product Managers responsible for managing presbyopia-correcting IOLs (PC-IOLs) and astigmatism-correcting Toric IOLs. Provide cross-functional leadership to successfully drive product development, indications/claims, and marketing strategies to drive Alcon ATIOL adoption and conversion. Develop and implement global marketing strategies and tactics for Alcon's ATIOL portfolio, in partnership with North America and International Marketing teams. Represent the AT-IOL cross-functional team during key governance meetings (e.g., GFT, SGB, ADC), Steering Committees and business updates as needed (e.g., GB&I). Partner cross-functionally with North America/International, R&D, MTO to prioritize investment decisions to increase the value of Alcon's ATIOL portfolio. Provides R&D with solid, evidence-based information and recommendations to ensure that new products, indications, and claims fill significant and profitable commercial needs. Directly responsible for generating with R&D the market requirement specifications for each new product. Partner with R&D and other key stakeholders to properly manage Alcon AT-IOL projects through the Alcon Stage-Gate process. Partner with North America and International commercial leadership, MTO and S&OP to ensure forecast accuracy and appropriate product availability (based on shared months of coverage, or MoC, targets) Partner with Business Development & Licensing to evaluate external opportunities to increase the overall value of Alcon's AT-IOL portfolio. Develop Commercial Launch Readiness (CLR) for Alcon AT-IOL new product launches in collaboration with North America and International marketing teams to properly execute global product launches. Establishes target global pricing collaborations with Global Pricing, North America and International Marketing teams Properly manage Global budgets as it relates to AT-IOL project spend and Global AT-IOL team's T&E budget.
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
At least 10 years of pharmaceutical and/or medical device sales and/or marketing experience, with upstream marketing product development and new product launch experience At least 5 years of product management experience.
Preferred Requirements
Graduate level degree preferred (e.g., MBA or equivalent). Experience working in Ophthalmology-related pharmaceutical or medical device field. Experience in launching and/or promoting products across multiple markets, geographies. Experience managing and leading direct reports and cross-functional teams. Launch experience with new products or major line extensions. Experience working with patient-pay (e.g., private insurance or out-of-pocket) technologies and/or medical procedures
