Summary

Working in a supportive role under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician Oncology - PBH role demonstrates proficiency in all core functions of the pharmacy, including medication preparation, storage, distribution, disposition, and related clerical tasks. This role is responsible for parenteral compounding, controlled substance distribution and auditing and will serve as the technician lead and coordinator for chemotherapy compounding operations, compliance, education and training.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Associate's Degree preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current or eligible for applicable state(s) license as a Pharmacy Technician. CPhT or PTCB certificate required.
  3. Experience: Two years of experience as a pharmacy technician in healthcare or related environment preferred with at least one year of prior work experience as a technician generalist required.
