Job Description

YOUR OPPORTUNITY


We have a exciting Distribution Center Technician opportunity, this role maintains the Distribution Center by performing minor repairs and assembles items for farm distribution. This individual also controls biosecurity logs and assists with daily pick up/back orders and the receiving of materials into the warehouse. Technician also coordinates with supply drivers with the loading of daily deliveries.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS



  • Performs the daily loading of outgoing deliveries.
  • Maintains pest control for inside and outside areas of Warehouse.
  • Operates all power equipment and vehicles in a safe manner.
  • Part-time delivery route may be involved to local production facilities.
  • Assists with pick-up orders/back orders and the receiving of medicines and farm supplies.
  • Assembles watering triggers and ensures enough supply for distribution.
  • Assists with maintenance items within distribution center.
  • Assists with control of quarantine and baker rooms and ensure logs are maintained to include fire extinguisher inspections.

REQUIREMENTS



  • High School diploma. Previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Must have the ability to be certified to operate a forklift.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret pick lists and packing slips. Ability to effectively provide information related to job duties and respond to questions from co-workers, customers and Purchasing & Distribution Manager.
