Summary:

We are seeking a driven Junior to Mid-Level Power BI Report Developer to join our Data Engineering team. Reporting to the Data Engineering Team Lead, you will design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports within Microsoft Fabric, leveraging OneLake and ELT processes to deliver impactful business insights. This role demands a foundational understanding of data warehousing, proficiency in CI/CD practices, and a proactive approach to stakeholder collaboration, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality solutions through robust deployment pipelines.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards using Microsoft Fabric and OneLake to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business needs, ensuring alignment with analytics objectives.
  • Apply foundational knowledge of Ralph Kimball data warehousing methodologies to support effective data modeling and ELT processes.
  • Utilize OneLake for efficient data integration and storage within the Fabric ecosystem.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD practices for report development, ensuring seamless deployment through automated pipelines.
  • Work closely with the Data Engineering team to leverage data warehouse structures for accurate and scalable reporting.
  • Proactively communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders and the Data Engineering Team Lead.
  • Ensure data integrity, performance, and governance in all reporting solutions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of ELT workflows, CI/CD processes, and deployment pipelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-3 years of experience in Power BI report development and data visualization, preferably within Microsoft Fabric.
  • Basic understanding of Ralph Kimball data warehousing methodologies and ELT processes.
  • Experience with data warehouse environments, OneLake, and querying tools (e.g., SQL).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and deployment pipelines for BI solutions.
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into actionable, high-quality reporting solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated work ethic with a focus on delivering reliable results on time.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting or collaboratively in-office if local.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and OneLake for data integration and reporting.
  • Proficiency in building and optimizing ELT workflows.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git) and deployment pipelines for BI development.
  • Familiarity with data governance and best practices in analytics.
  • Exposure to other BI or cloud-based data platforms is a plus.

Compensation Range: $86,000 - $140,000*
