We are seeking motivated, reliable individuals with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn to join our team as Security Systems Installers. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, interacting with customers, and working in a dynamic field environment. No prior experience in IT or office settings is required-candidates with backgrounds in construction, landscaping, maintenance, or other hands-on roles tend to excel in this position.
Key Responsibilities: * Install and program residential security systems including burglar alarms, CCTV (IP & Analog), DVRs, and access control systems. * Install components such as window breaks, door sensors, and smoke detectors. * Troubleshoot and resolve signal issues to ensure proper system functionality. * Interact with customers on-site, providing excellent service and support. * Test and verify system signals and functionality. * Train customers on system usage and answer any related questions. * Complete all required job documentation and customer paperwork. * Accurately log and cost all parts used before closing out jobs. * Maintain accurate inventory of ADT products in the service vehicle. * Strive for high-quality installations with minimal callbacks. * Meet or exceed a 90% goal attainment rate for completed installations. Required Skills & Qualifications: * Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Dependable, punctual, and adaptable with a solution-oriented mindset. * Ability to read non-verbal cues and respond appropriately in customer interactions. * Comfortable working independently in residential environments. Preferred Backgrounds: * Construction, landscaping, warehouse, maintenance, HVAC, cable/satellite installation, or similar hands-on roles. * Experience with tools and wiring (HDMI, coax, Cat5/Cat6, etc.) is a plus. Tools & Equipment: * Must provide own tools, including: * 12-foot ladder (Little Giant recommended for compact storage) * Electric drill, screwdrivers, wire cutters, hand sheetrock saw * Must have a reliable personal vehicle. * Must carry a clean face covering for customer interactions. Additional Information: * Training Duration: Typically 4-5 weeks, depending on skill acquisition and licensing. * Weekend Work: Occasionally available on a volunteer basis. * Mileage Reimbursement: Provided only when travel exceeds 40 miles between job sites. * Tool Reimbursement: Not provided; tools must be self-supplied (not required on day one). *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
