Fire Alarm Service Technician - Commercial Systems Location: Nashville, TN Client: TEKsystems Client Attention: Ignore the rate listed on posting because the range can go up to 35 an hour + Are you ready to take your fire alarm expertise to the next level? A TEKsystems client is looking for a Fire Alarm Service Technician to join their elite team in Nashville. What You'll Do * Service and maintain commercial fire alarm systems and components. * Troubleshoot issues including ground faults, open/short circuits, and both addressable and conventional systems. * Use electronic testing devices to ensure system functionality. * Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications. * Communicate clearly with customers and ensure they understand their systems. * Follow all safety regulations and company policies. What You Bring Required: * 2+ years of experience with commercial fire alarm systems. * Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with electronic testing tools. * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. * Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor. * Willingness to learn and grow with the team. Preferred: * NICET II, III, or IV certification. * Experience with Fire Life Safety, Low Voltage, or Security systems. * Manufacturer certifications for fire alarm systems. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Basic understanding of IT/networking. Physical Requirements * Lift and carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull over 75 lbs. * Climb ladders up to 12 feet and operate man lifts. * Work in varying weather conditions and noisy environments. * Use hand/power tools and mobile apps effectively. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
