Job Summary:

We are currently seeking our newest innovator to join our dynamic team as an Assistant Manager, Promotion and Scheduling, LG Channels on the North American Platform Content & Services Team!

Position Summary

LG Channels is a Free, Ad Supported streaming service available globally on LG Smart TVs. It is a top app on the LG webOS platform and continues to be a source of free entertainment for millions of viewers that increasingly have cut the cord looking for News, TV Shows, Movies and more. The Promotion and Scheduling Assistant Manager for LG Channels will lead promotional efforts for the LG Channels service. The role will be responsible for coordinating with other internal teams on the execution of social posts, press releases, newsletters, and events. They will oversee the optimization of the on-device promotional advertising strategy, liaise with partners on identifying key tentpoles for promotion, and track performance of promotional initiatives. Additionally, they will work on scheduling strategy for the LG Channels owned and operated content.

This candidate must be extremely detail-oriented and exhibit a willingness to learn all aspects of the FAST content and operations business. Collaboration and ability to absorb information quickly are essential in this fast-growing team.

Responsibilities:



  • Oversee and implement promotional campaigns across various platforms, including on-device banners, in-app promotions, newsletters, social media, press releases, and events.
  • Coordinate the creation, trafficking, and scheduling of engaging home screen banners to drive tune-in and awareness of key programming.
  • Analyze viewership data to ideate and test new target segments and measure their effectiveness driving LG Channels usage.
  • Track and analyze the performance of promotional campaigns across platforms, correlating results with scheduling decisions identify areas for optimization.
  • Act as key liaison with content partners on promotional asset creation and approval process. Provide feedback for optimization and submit final versions to ad operations for execution.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams including Brand Marketing, Social, and PR to best support the LG Channels content offering.
  • Drive viewership on LG operated channels through strategic scheduling of programming. Utilize data and competitive research to optimize programming line-ups.
  • Format programming for both linear channel schedules and On Demand. Update and review metadata, re-size images, and assign break points.
  • Maintain awareness of the FAST and AVOD competitive landscape and report findings.
  • Effectively communicate programming schedules, promotional plans, and asset delivery timelines to all relevant internal and external stakeholders.


Qualifications:



  • 5 years of experience in promotion, marketing or partner management space at a network, streaming service, or media agency.
  • Strong desire for collaboration, creative brainstorms and proactive client engagement.
  • Specific knowledge of Connected TV, Streaming, or FAST services is a huge plus
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and content scheduling tools.
  • An understanding and hands-on use of analytics tools and services (ex. Conviva, Adobe, Google Analytics, Wurl, Amagi, etc.)
  • Ability for insightful and outside the box thinking, to create strategic solutions or troubleshoot issues, and later communicate to these updates effectively to senior members of the team


Recruiting Range
$72,000 - $105,000 USD
