Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director, Finance to lead accounting and financial reporting across the Americas and support global consolidation efforts. This senior leadership role is critical in ensuring compliance with US GAAP, local statutory requirements, and internal controls, while driving operational excellence, automation, and standardization across regions.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy
  • Lead Americas finance transformation initiatives, focusing on automation and process optimization.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing accounting and consolidation team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the Americas region in global finance initiatives and strategic planning.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Oversee timely and accurate financial reporting for the Americas region.
  • Support global consolidation processes using Oracle-based systems.
  • Ensure integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial statements.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external auditors.
Policy, Controls & Governance
  • Develop and enforce accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, JSox, and local statutory regulations.
  • Collaborate with tax and compliance teams on audits and regulatory filings.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Partner with regional finance leaders to align and share best practices.
  • Provide financial insights and technical accounting guidance to senior leadership.
  • Deliver presentations and training to cross-functional teams.
Other Duties
  • Lead finance education initiatives and support special projects as needed.
Qualifications: Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
  • Master's degree (preferred)
  • CPA or Chartered Accountant certification (required)
Experience:
  • 15+ years in accounting/finance, including public and corporate experience
  • 8+ years in leadership roles with regional/global scope
  • Experience in the technology or software industry preferred
  • Strong background in operational accounting and consolidations
Skills:
  • Expertise in US GAAP and international accounting standards
  • Proficiency in Oracle ERP and reporting tools (e.g., DIVA)
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to lead through complexity and ambiguity
