What you'll be doing...

The Senior Analyst, Security Operations position is part of the Subpoena Compliance Team within the Verizon Security Assistance Team (VSAT) reporting into Corporate Security. The primary mission of the Verizon Corporate Security Organization is to ensure the safety and security of Verizon employees, proprietary information, assets, and facilities.

The Verizon Security Assistance Team (VSAT) is responsible for ensuring all Legal demand (i.e., subpoenas, summons, court orders and search warrants) are handled confidentially and in compliance with all company policies and applicable laws. In addition to responding to legal requests, VSAT also provides educational presentations for law enforcement to further demonstrate our commitment to public safety.

This is a fast-paced environment that provides the opportunity to work both individually and as a part of a team to achieve goals. As the workload is a combination of calls and cases with varying degrees of urgency or deadlines, the ability to exercise sound judgement when prioritizing work is critical. This is an on-site position with office hours of 7:00 am - 8:00 pm ET. The Senior Analyst is accountable for meeting and exceeding the operational business metrics while simultaneously safeguarding customer information/business records and providing a 5-star customer experience.

  • Responding to requests and legal demands for assistance by law enforcement and attorneys.

  • Retrieving company records and analyzing data pursuant to legal documents.

  • Verifying the validity of the legal demand, and the legal document allows for release of the requested records while ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.

  • Responsible for the activities associated with the security of the company's property, personnel and information.

  • Ensuring that all cases are correctly documented and managed end to end in compliance with all applicable laws and company procedures; including validating, logging and responding to all legal demands served upon the company for customer records.

  • Collaborating with appropriate departments and managers specifically with corporate security/legal/human resources for internal investigations.

  • Handling incoming calls and providing assistance.

  • Responding to inquiries and demands made by attorneys, prosecutors and other law enforcement personnel.

  • Providing guidance to other departments on matters relating to the release of company records.

  • Acting as liaison between the company and the law enforcement community.

  • Maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.

  • Providing value-added feedback to leadership on methods to improve call handling, and increase knowledge of processes and procedures to drive quality improvement.

  • Reviewing and updating Methods and Procedures to have up to date resources to conduct day to day job functions.

  • Reviewing, investigating and resolving inquiries from our customers.

  • Some travel may be necessary for training, court appearances and/or presentations.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Three or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.

  • One or more years of experience in landline or wireless areas of legal, customer service or technical support experience.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.

  • Proficiency with the use of Verizon Wireless billing systems and MARS.

  • Knowledge of state and federal laws.

  • Knowledge of call processing.

  • Knowledge of Verizon Wireless Network and call processing.

  • Proven oral and written communication skills.

  • Proven ability to make critical decisions independent of direct supervision.

  • Experience as a leader who collaborates with others to achieve results.

  • Proven ability to drive results and demonstrate good judgement.

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask, without sacrificing attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and matters.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and Google Suite skills

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
