DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Utility Relocation Technician, you will serve as a project team member, assisting the District Utility Relocation Administrator with ensuring that all utility relocations are done smoothly and enable other district projects to flow on time. Duties will entail managing work activities, maintaining awareness of milestone activities and initiating corrective actions as needed, and attending project scoping's to provide insight on potential utility impacts and level of effort required to coordinate utilities. You will be tasked with traveling to project sites to identify existing utilities and identify relocation options and construction challenges. Excellent networking skills are essential, as you will be coordinating work with utility companies and consultants to ensure proper integration of efforts. This professional must employ strong leadership qualities to monitor the progress of project team members engaged in supporting activities and ensure timely completion of assignments. You will also be responsible for maintaining records of team member performances and providing input to performance evaluations for assigned consultant personnel. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Oil City.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Engineering Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) performing utility relocation work; or
- One year of technical utility relocation work experience and an associate's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or in a design and drafting technology; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of technical experience performing utility relocation work.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
