Do you want to join one of the leading engineering consulting companies, creating value for customers, people, and societies worldwide? Can you contribute to our growth with your skills in efficiently updating schedules, preparing and tracking monthly progress reports, and managing variations and time impacts? Then this could be the next step in your career!

Contribute to projects where people and societies can grow

We are seeking a Senior Planner Scheduler to join our team in Toronto. You will work closely with a team of experts working alongside our customers on some of North America's most significant projects. Together with customers, partners, and colleagues, we collaborate on projects where people and societies grow and flourish. In this role, your primary task will be to prepare and develop schedules for a variety of large multi-discipline schemes or smaller projects, where the ability to prioritize competing demands will be key.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop and maintain resource-loaded time schedules using the critical path method, in conjunction with Project Managers and Clients
  • Closely track the progress of work, update schedules periodically and prepare monthly status reports
  • Assist with critical path analysis and highlight time-related issues and risks, including the proposal of mitigation measures
  • Resolve technical issues on schedules and monitor resource performances against budget
  • Communicate with management, project managers, colleagues and external stakeholders to understand the schedule and any issues
  • Assist the Contract Management team with evaluating schedule impacts arising from change and risk mitigation

Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future

The first step to growth in this role is that you are committed to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners, or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.

On top of that, you will:

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience, with a focus in related construction or engineering industries
  • Planning and scheduling experience in large multi-discipline civil engineering projects (bridge, tunnel or marine experience) preferred
  • In-depth working knowledge and practical experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Commercial awareness with a good knowledge of North American contracts and Earned Value analysis
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivation with the ability to make judgments based on practice and previous experience
