Job Description General Summary: Vertex seeks a talented scientist to join the Vertex Cell and Genetic Therapies (VCGT) Stem Cell Engineering & Automation team at The Jeffrey Leiden Center for Cell and Genetic Therapies in Boston, MA. The team's mission is to discover and actualize the next generation of cell therapies for patients with type 1 diabetes, sickle cell disease and Duchenne muscular dystrophy. We are looking for a candidate with an interest in stem cell culture, gene editing, automation, and familiarity with analytical methods in cellular & molecular biology to support VCGT's Stem Cell Editing Platform. The candidate will work closely with our scientists on discovery projects advancing our capabilities in pluripotent stem biology, gene editing, and immunology. The ideal candidate is scientifically curious, accustomed to taking initiative while working with supervisor in setting objectives, and may take some responsibility for some experimental design. The position requires keen attention to detail and documentation, strong communication and organization skills, but also proven adaptability and multitasking capability. Key Responsibilities:

Pay Range: $74,800 - $112,200Disclosure Statement: The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
