Summary

Supports the Assembly & Test department by conducting time studies of manufacturing processes. Provides support to maintain department documentation and identify process improvements.



Job Duties and Responsibilities

Other tasks and duties may be required as directed.



  • Conduct time and motion studies, process flow analysis, and capacity planning to maximize efficiency and throughput.
  • Support the development and maintenance of process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Assists with designing, developing, and improving manufacturing processes, procedures, layouts and tooling to achieve production goals.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for production issues.
  • Help implement quality control procedures and support compliance with safety standards.
  • Prepare reports and present findings for engineering and operations teams
  • Supports identifying and implementing cost-effective process improvements, including automation, tooling upgrades, and workflow optimizations.
  • Learn and apply manufacturing methods, manage tooling and equipment needs with Lean Manufacturing mindset.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, quality engineers, and production managers, to ensure seamless integration of processes.
  • Provides technical support and guidance to production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and achieve production targets



Qualification Requirements

  • Education/Experience

    • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and currently pursuing a bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
    • Preferred: Previous internship or project experience in a manufacturing setting.


  • Language Skills

    • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and employees.


  • Math Skills

    • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
    • Ability to work with the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
    • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
    • Ability to comprehend and apply principles of calculus and modern algebra.
    • Ability to work with concepts such as quadratic and differential equations.


  • Reasoning Skills

    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


  • Computer/ Office Skills

    • Design Software
    • Basic windows/internet browser
    • ERP/Inventory
    • Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Power Point
    • Typing
    • Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, manufacturing, and fabrication process





Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Physical Demands

    • Frequent Activities: Sitting, typing, and talking/hearing

    • Occasional activities: Standing, walking, reaching with arms, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 25 lbs.



    • Rare activities: Climbing/balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting/pushing/pulling heavy weights (50-100+ lbs).




  • Vision Requirements


    • Frequent: Computer monitor use.



    • Occasional: Close vision, color vision, ability to adjust focus, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision.




  • Work Environment



    • Occasional Exposure: Mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, very quiet noise levels, quiet to-very loud noise levels.



    • Rare Exposure: High places, outdoor weather, risk of electrical shock, vibrations.

Compensation and Benefits Offered

Actual base salary offered to the selected applicant will be based on their work location, qualifications, job related skills, relevant education, and training experience.

Base hourly rate range Minimum $21.00- Maximum $25.00.
