Job Requirements

As a Team Lead, you deliver world-class service within assigned teams, leading to account growth. This role is critical to ensuring consistent support for team ceremonies and delivery coordination within our Biometric Information management System (BIMS) program. You will coach and mentor junior team members, sharing the skills and best practices you have developed throughout your experience. Your role is pivotal in ensuring high performance, fostering team development, and driving successful project outcomes that contribute to the growth and reputation of the organization.

A successful candidate in this role can independently operate with minimal support from their leadership in day-to-day tasks and decision-making. This team lead will impact Fearless' customers by:

  • Delivering exceptional service, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Leading teams to consistently meet project milestones, ensuring compliance, quality, and the successful implementation of solutions.
  • Cultivating a culture of excellence, ensuring accountability, continuous improvement, and skill development within the team.
  • Acting as a strategic advisor to customers and stakeholders, guiding decisions that align with the organization's mission and long-term goals.

Core Responsibilities: Delivery of World Class Services & Customer Intimacy
  • Ensure that Fearless positively impacts our customers' missions and the lives of the people they serve by consistently delivering world-class products and services on time and within budget.

Domain Expertise

  • Apply knowledge of government procurement rules and regulations to ensure successful project execution and compliance with all contractual obligations.
  • Engage with contracting officers and acquisition professionals to ensure that projects meet all federal requirements and standards.

Managing Team & Project Execution and Performance
  • Lead one large or up to three small teams, ensuring successful project delivery in line with government contracting requirements and best practices.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, sharing expertise and best practices to build their skills and competencies.
  • Conduct performance reviews, manage team resources, and drive continuous improvement to enhance team performance and outcomes.
  • Use metrics and data analysis to track team progress, allocate resources effectively, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Apply project management principles to plan, execute, and close government projects, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, budget adherence, and timely delivery.
  • Address challenges and obstacles within projects, developing and implementing solutions that align with strategic goals.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables, ensuring clarity and alignment with organizational objectives.

Defining Opportunities and Problems
  • Build credibility as a subject matter expert within the customer's organization, influencing stakeholders at all levels to support strategic initiatives.
  • Advocate for the organization and team members, promoting buy-in for proposed solutions and strategies.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to identify current and future business challenges, guiding technical solutions and organizational strategies.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and their application to business processes, ensuring that proposed solutions meet organizational requirements.
  • Advise on technical solutions, ensuring they integrate with related organizational processes, systems, and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business partners to overcome implementation obstacles, providing ongoing support to ensure effectiveness.

Building Relationships and Networking
  • Monitor and nurture existing accounts, identifying opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling to drive account growth.
  • Actively engage with clients to ensure satisfaction, resolve issues, and counter competitive threats, building strong, long-term relationships.
  • Use domain expertise to inform clients of new solutions and technologies that align with their business needs and strategic direction.

Technical Skills:

  • Deep understanding of government contracting, including federal regulations, procurement processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in planning, executing, and closing government projects.

  • Ability to evaluate business challenges and define technical solutions that align with strategic objectives.
  • Strategic advisor skills, with the ability to guide teams in innovative, effective solutions.

Communication & Influence:

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to build credibility, influence stakeholders, and advocate for strategic initiatives within client organizations.

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Experience in managing, coaching, and developing high-performing teams focusing on achieving results.
  • Strong ability to manage resources, budgets, and team performance metrics effectively.

Account Growth & Relationship Management:

  • Proven track record of growing and maintaining accounts, leveraging technical expertise to identify expansion opportunities.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining solid relationships with customers, stakeholders, and partners.

Additional Qualifications and Project-Specific Needs:
  • Scrum Master Certification (Required)
  • Prior knowledge of the Biometric Information Management System (BIMS) program preferred

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer or during meetings.

Must be able to travel occasionally to client sites or company meetings.

Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person, requiring clear speech, listening, and written communication skills.

Ability to move within an office environment, including reaching for files, using office equipment, and occasional light lifting (up to 10 pounds).

The salary range for this position is:

Minimum Salary: $102,540

Salary Midpoint: $133,302

Maximum Salary: $164,064

Hiring Range: $102,540 - $112,000
