Designs and implements advanced processes and analytics associated with a wide variety of data sets used for data/text mining, analysis, and prediction to enable informed business decisions.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Gains insight into key business problems and deliverables by applying highly technical analysis techniques analysis techniques to examine structured and unstructured data from multiple disparate Sources.
  • Provides insight from initial concept to fully tested production and communicates results to a broad range of audiences.
  • Effectively uses current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management, via understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis.
  • Typically uses data, statistical and quantitative analysis, basic modeling, and fact-based management to drive decision making.
  • Mentors less senior staff.
  • Works in cross functional projects and programs.
  • Routinely presents to management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Details:

  • Manage data and analytics demand across all segments of organization which includes strategic analysis, dashboards, key metrics / KPIs, and adhoc requests from leadership
  • Foster relationship with COE (Center of Excellence) by managing key projects for Global EC organization through delegating analysis and data requests - while continuing to enhance analytics capabilities through this partnership
  • Define and align business segment definitions, develop a robust methodology, and create dashboard visualizations to accurately measure segment performance, driving data-informed decision-making and effective communication with leadership
  • Partner with initiative owners to establish measurable OKRs and KPIs, ensuring clear success metrics are in place. Foster a QDM (Quality Data Management) mindset, leveraging creative problem-solving to approach challenges and drive innovative solutions
  • Lead revenue planning efforts for business segments (B2B/B2C) and global products, working with global and regional forecasting teams, cross-functional stakeholders and communicating and influencing global and regional marketing and product team to drive realistic revenue planning
  • Conduct strategic assessments and market research to support global product initiatives, enabling data-driven decisions and strategy development
  • Apply business acumen to evaluate financial data, including margin, revenue, and other key financial metrics laddering up to corporate goal to inform business strategies

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics or finance.

Minimum Experience

Seven (7) years of experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem-solving, operations analysis, marketing analysis, simulation development and/or predictive analytics.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Superior analytical skills with diverse analytics and statistical software and applications. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Proven leadership skills.

Additional Details: This position may be located anywhere within the United States excluding Alaska, Hawaii and US territories. Depending on your location, you may be required to work at a FedEx Campus location several times per week.
