Bachelor's Degree in a business related field required. (Accounting or Finance preferred). Understanding of commercial credit underwriting and analysis or commensurate accounting or finance experience preferred. Formal Credit Training preferred with proven analytical analysis preferred. Basic understanding of commercial loan structures and underwriting preferred. Basic understanding of commercial real estate, commercial and industrial, and small business loans preferred. SUMMARY: Support the Bank's credit and commercial lending functions by actively underwriting commercial requests, modifications, and conducting line of credit and annual portfolio reviews while working with a team of lending and administrative staff to achieve the goals established for the department and the Bank. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to interpret financial statements, perform cash flow and personal financial statement analysis. Complete credit underwriting for annual relationship reviews, line of credit renewals and loan modifications with oversight from Credit Product Officers / Senior Credit Product Team Lead / Credit Product Manager. Perform testing of commercial loan covenants with oversight from Credit Product Officers / Senior Credit Product Team Lead / Credit Product Manager. Develop knowledge of lending standards, banking laws and regulations, and bank credit policies and procedures. Determine the need for additional information on renewals and annual relationship reviews, and work with the Banker and senior underwriter to obtain information necessary to formulate a credit decision. Ability to present facts concerning the credit worthiness of small business and commercial loan applicants, loan structure, and other relevant matters to management. Work with Senior Credit Product Team Lead and Credit Product Manager to develop underwriting skills necessary to progress towards underwriting new origination loans between $10,000 and $1.5 million in size. Complete formal Credit Training provided by the Bank. Assist with data gathering and review for various portfolio management projects where necessary. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner. Professional demeanor in appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic and attitude. Possess clear, concise, effective written and oral communication skills to effectively express thoughts, ideas and concepts to bank employees and bank customers. Capable of handling research and special projects, including coordinating with other departments. Detail-oriented and self-motivated to complete required tasks in an efficient and timely manner. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and other computer software; proficiency in Excel preferred. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The wage range for the Credit Product Analyst position is between $23.00 - $25.50 per hour and eligible for approved overtime. The position includes 17 days of PTO (Paid Time Off) and 5 days of STD (Short Term Disability) and 11 annual paid holidays.
