The Manufacturing Engineer will support and improve manufacturing processes through the application of engineering principles, lean manufacturing techniques, and process innovation. This role is responsible for transferring design data into manufacturing systems, driving continuous improvement, supporting cross-functional teams, and ensuring product quality and operational efficiency. This role is based out of Anderson, IN and would require this individual to be on site regularly.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of AutoCAD parts lists into an ERP system (such as Oracle) for Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing setup.

• Collaborate with the Purchasing team to identify and qualify suppliers for new or innovative components.

• Partner with Operations Planning to ensure successful work order execution through the ERP system.

• Review and enhance existing processes, BOMs, and routing documentation to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

• Process engineering change orders (ECOs) in alignment with established ECO procedures.

• Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to implement improvements in production methods, tooling, layout, equipment, and product design aimed at reducing costs and increasing safety, quality, and employee engagement.

• Conduct studies to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvements, and product enhancements.

• Support product and process changes in coordination with Corporate Design and Development teams.

• Participate in cross-functional teams to support the successful launch of new products.

• Apply structured problem-solving techniques during equipment commissioning and troubleshooting activities.

• Provide technical training and support to maintenance and production personnel in resolving mechanical and process issues.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to assess the impact of equipment and process changes on product quality.

• Maintain basic understanding of ergonomic design, safety practices, and operator-machine interface requirements.

• Support other departments as needed to ensure organizational objectives are met.

• Adhere to all standard work instructions, safety procedures, and PPE requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant engineering or manufacturing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD for equipment or part design

• Experience working with an ERP system such as Oracle

• Knowledge of discrete manufacturing or single-part flow processes

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Mechanical aptitude with proven problem-solving skills

• Experience or familiarity with filtration technologies
