OVERVIEW

Merrick & Company is seeking a Business Development professional for our Nuclear Services and Technology (NST) Business Unit (BU). This position will report to the Sr. Business Development Director but will support the entire NST Business Development team. This position can be based out of our Oak Ridge, TN or Greenwood Village, CO offices.

Annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

This position is responsible for supporting business development events and activities. In this role, the BD Specialist works with the NST Business Development team by providing support on proposals, marketing materials and client communications. With direction from the Sr. Business Development Director, the BD Specialist will support the development of proposals and the marketing materials necessary that will contribute to proposal development. Other responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Sales Data Entry and Management.
  • General Market Research on NST Clients.
  • General BD Research.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Marketing Services to create marketing materials, project sheets, resume updates and proposal inputs.
  • Create client focused materials needed for client meetings, conferences, and proposal inputs.
  • Coordinate conference registrations and arrange logistics for booth shipping and set up.
  • Coordinate client meetings at conferences and maintain conference itineraries.
  • Attend conferences where Merrick is exhibiting to manage the booth.
  • Provide outreach to clients on initial client contact.
  • Manage Business Development calendars as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other Merrick Business Units on proposals where NST will contribute to the successful contract award and project execution.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Recent experience or internship in marketing, business development, and/or administration in the Engineering or Construction industry is required.
  • Demonstrated ability in:
    • Technical writing
    • Microsoft Office Software including Power Point
    • Customer Relationship Management Software
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills which will be demonstrated with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel periodically throughout the year.
  • Client projects for this position require sole U.S. Citizenship.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • Relevant technical and marketing experience with engineering consulting.
