We are seeking an Industrial Engineer for our customer, County Prestress & Precast LLC in Westmont, IL.

Job Duties:


  • Perform required duties as assigned by and under the supervision of senior engineers.
  • Identify, formulate, and solve complex production challenges to improve safety, quality, and cost.
  • Develop and implement process improvements using engineering judgment and data analysis.
  • Conduct appropriate experimentation to identify bottlenecks and increase efficiency.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow and reduce non-value-added activities.
  • In conjunction with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator, act as a liaison between County Prestress and contractor, owner, architect, and erector.
  • Visit jobsites and County Prestress production facilities on a regular basis to become familiar with production and erection procedures and the problems that may occur.
  • Know the schedule for all phases of the project and make sure the customer's (including production) needs are always met.
  • Provide training to employees on best practices and process standardization.
  • Conduct regular audits of identified best practices. Report deficiencies to Ops. Manager.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices.

Physical Requirements:


  • Sitting frequently
  • Carrying/Lifting 10 - 40 Pounds rarely
  • Standing / Walking / Climbing


Experience & Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in process improvement, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to interpret technical data and make data-driven decisions
  • Experience in concrete manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record required
  • This position requires the candidate to be based locally due to on-site responsibilities and occasional local travel.
