The Senior Director of Clinical Operations - Senior Living is a member of the leadership team providing overall clinical service delivery leadership for Lifespark Senior Living and its senior living communities. Thei includes assisted living, memory care, independent living and skilled nursing. This role will engage in the ongoing development and implementation of our senior living clinical services plan, systems and the work related to performance excellence and implementing our Lifespark Way model. This role will collaborate with others across the organization, owners and individual senior living communities to ensure that Lifespark's full eco system (Lifespark Management Group, Home Health, Hospice, Community Home Care) capabilities reaches its full potential including the integration of Lifespark services across the senior living continuum.

The role also leads the work with the RN After hours and is a connection with the Lifespark triage. Additionally, leads the work for clinical education for all Lifespark managed communities.

The Senior Director of Clinical Operations - Senior Living provides leadership with stakeholders in support of the Lifespark mission, vision, and values. This role will lead the design, development and implementation of the senior living clinical services delivery. Further, this role will contribute to the transformation of senior living within the broader Lifespark organization and serve as the national leader and the standard of service to older adults.

Position Functions and Responsibilities

Organizational Vision and Operational Strategy:



  • Collaborate with ownership and Lifespark leadership in developing and driving clinical and wellbeing services for residents within Lifespark Senior Living communities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of projected trends in clinical service delivery within senior housing, assisted living and memory care markets and skilled nursing communities.
  • Develop and oversee clinical delivery processes and outcomes within Lifespark Senior Living and the individual senior living communities, including training, monitoring and coaching employees related to components of clinical delivery.
  • Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective clinical service delivery processes and staffing strategies and processes as it relates to new start-ups, as well as stabilized communities.
  • Lead clinical system responses to regulatory or community health directives


Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the clinical delivery related to infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of the organization

Day-to-Day Resident Experience Oversight and Processes Design:



  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management to the clinical teams that mirrors its mission and core values of sparking lives.
  • Engages in cross-functional initiatives to drive integration and alignment across Lifespark to improve operational and financial performance, improve resident experience, and deliver on Lifespark's commitment of achieving the quadruple aim and sparking lives.
  • Collaborates with sales and operations to ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives using EOS principles and leveraging clinical and wellbeing best practices.


  • Directly oversee clinical services training across the senior living portfolio specific to maintaining clinical excellence and compliance.


  • Analyze internal clinical service delivery, packaging, and staffing to identify areas of process enhancement through an identify, discuss, and solve (IDS) process.
  • Leads market-wide efforts to identify vendor partners to support clinical service delivery (i.e. pharmacy, medical supplies, infection control etc.).


  • Supports and participates in tactics to achieve targets relative to growth and resident experience.
  • Monitor and communicate performance through detailed reports.
  • Maintain and build trusted relationships with ownership, clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Participate in meetings with owners and leadership to review clinical performance and strategic initiatives.


  • Maintain current knowledge of, and assure implementation of all rules, regulations, and standards governing accreditation, licensing, and service provisions specific to senior housing.
  • Adhere to company, federal, state, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance and taking action when necessary



Additional Responsibilities:



  • Lead quarterly, annual and on-going senior housing clinical service delivery strategies within Lifespark Senior Living.
  • Lead and participate from the lens of senior housing in organizational growth, clinical service delivery and resident experience initiative projects.
  • Oversight of the RN After Hours service line. Assuring follow up and coverage for clinical needs.
  • Participate in rotation of call as needed for clinical support
  • Collaborate on quality projects as needed with the Director of Quality and Clinical Leadership Development.

Qualifications



  • 10+ years with senior service or housing clinical services delivery - preferred
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience leading and executing on clinical care delivery systems, including service package creation
  • 3+ years supporting multi-site clinical delivery and oversight
  • Must receive a "not disqualified" criminal background result from Department of Human Services and may not be on the OIG exclusions list
  • Current driver's license and access to a personal car
  • Ability to travel throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin 20% to 40% of time


Education



  1. Licensed (RN) in MN and WI in good standing, Bachelor's degree
  2. Master's degree in nursing or related field preferred
  3. Ability to get licensed as an RN in new states as needed with growth

For this FT role the wage range is $175,000 - $200,000 (depending on experience).
