Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Video and Security Systems Engineer to lead the advancement of our video and access control technology solutions. This role will serve as a bridge between engineering, project management, field technicians, and customers-ensuring seamless post-sale installation, support, and innovation. You will be the go-to expert for emerging technologies and play a key role in shaping our technical strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead for video surveillance, access control, and integrated security systems.
  • Support post-sale installation efforts by collaborating with project managers, technicians, and customers to ensure successful deployments.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support including system design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Lead internal training initiatives to upskill technicians and project teams on new technologies and best practices.
  • Act as a technical liaison between sales, service, and project management teams to streamline processes and improve customer outcomes.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance our product offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Participate in customer meetings, site walks, and technical presentations to support solution development and delivery.
  • Maintain secure access to demo equipment and vendor platforms; manage credentials and access rights.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in engineering or technical support roles within video security, access control, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end system architecture and integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, construction drawings, and project estimating.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites across Wisconsin and the Midwest.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
