Job Summary This position will primarily lead and manage the strategic response to customized formal Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) for our Employer Markets, including National/Major 500+, Public Sector 300+, Corporate Accounts, and Local Market. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing proposal strategies, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality proposal responses that showcase the value of our products, programs, and services. This role will primarily focus on proposal development, management, and coordination, with a strong emphasis on creating compelling and compliant proposal documents that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders. What Will You Be Doing Service Performance Responsibilities
- Manage, lead, and coordinate the strategic proposal development process for formal RFPs and RFIs, including planning, task management, writing/editing, researching, and leading cross-functional teams
- Manages, evaluates and analyzes new group and renewal sale processes. Accountable for pre-calculation, final rating calculation, and implementation of all sales processes (etc. ancillary business)
- Manages, evaluates and analyzes all required sales documents and legal contracts necessary in order for functional areas within the organization to implement and renew business.
- Prepares and audits all required legal and corporate documents
- Ensure proposal response documents are compliant, accurate, consistent, and responsive, and promote the advantages of our programs and products through the effective application of sales knowledge and creative, business, and publication writing and editing skills
Relationship Performance Responsibilities
- Facilitate and manage cross-functional teams of subject matter experts and leaders throughout the organization with clear objectives and requirements to meet aggressive proposal schedules
- Demonstrates judgment and sound decision-making in managing relationships with external customers and stakeholders (example: implementation of non-standard benefits)
- Responsible for administering and complying with Federal and State laws and mandates.
- Lead and coordinate kick-off meetings, project plans, create task lists, coordinate illustrations/graphics, develop compliance matrices, style guides, outlines, schedules, and writing guidelines
- Manage, develop and build relationships with both internal and external partners including sales reps, agents and agencies to improve communication, coordination and effective working relationships.
- Facilitates and participates in virtual visits/sessions with external agency to develop and enhance their knowledge of our business requirements including but not limited to data collected during new sales and renewals.
Development Performance Responsibilities
- Acts as liaison in the absence of Sales Management on workgroups and special projects.
- Manages and evaluates the effectiveness of solutions, policies, practices, and processes to ensure continuous improvement, good client relations, compliance and adherence to business and system requirements. Recommends improvements to achieve and deliver high quality, value-added services.
- Coordinates, produces, and distributes business documents such as reports, system, and process documentation, etc.
- Supports, participates in, or leads smaller components of projects. Carries out tasks and activities that support project plans and deliverables.
- May participate in department/divisional workgroups and initiatives.
What We Require
- 4+ years related work experience within a sales organization
- High school diploma or GED
- Demonstrated creative and business writing skills.
- Demonstrated experience managing and successfully delivering multiple, high profile projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated project management, negotiating, organizing, planning, scheduling.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the health insurance industry and the competition.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint assessment may be required
What We Prefer
- Demonstrated proficiency with Qvidian application. Experience completing high-profile complex RFPs.
- Experience developing customized responses to complex bid questionnaires. Experience designing customized benefit plans against competitor benefit designs.
General Physical Demands
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.
- Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $55,900 - $69,900 Annualized Salary Range: $55,900 - $90,900
Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
