YOUR ROLE

In your daily job you will:

• Research and explore state-of-the-art sensor fusion and vehicle tracking technologies, including radar, camera, lidar and USS sensors
• Design, prototype and evaluate novel perception algorithms and methodologies, including advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving features
• Collaborate with global teams to develop and execute our perception technology roadmap
• Initiate and lead advanced research projects in autonomous vehicle perception
• Develop, integrate, test and deploy robust algorithms for internal and external customers
• Resolve complex perception challenges across diverse global programs
• Partner with downstream engineering teams to support L2+ and L3 autonomous driving systems
• Utilize mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning techniques to create robust and efficient algorithms that meet performance and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with automotive development practices and standards throughout the algorithm development lifecycle.
• Manage version control and continuous integration pipelines using Git and Jenkins to facilitate collaborative development and automated testing of algorithm software.
• Implement CI/CD best practices to ensure the stability, reliability, and repeatability of algorithm deployments.
• Design and implement robust error handling and fault tolerance mechanisms to ensure algorithmic reliability and safety in automotive systems.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or relevant filed
• 1+ years' experience in sensor fusion and object tracking
• Well understanding of tracking filters and data association algorithms
• Critical & proactive thinker with excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills
• Well understanding of ASPICE
• Proficient in C++ and Matlab
• Experience with version control and issue tracking on large collaborative projects (Plastic, Git, Jira, Jenkins or similar)
• Flexibility to change to different perception tasks

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years' experience in sensor fusion and object tracking
• PhD in Engineering or relevant field
• Knowledge of vehicle dynamics
• Knowledge of Machine Learning
• Familiar with Python
• Experience with ROS
• Experience in code profiling and optimization
• Experience in DevOps tools
