Customer Service Representative (Remote) Pay: $18-$20/hr (based on experience or education)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:30 PM or 9:00 AM-5:30 PM EST (45-minute lunch, 38.5 hours/week) Benefits: Weekly pay cycle | Medical, Dental & Vision coverage Location: 100% Remote (Equipment provided; candidates must supply reliable internet and a quiet workspace) About the Role As a Customer Service Representative (CSR), you'll be the first point of contact for our customers, playing a vital role in upholding our organisation's Core Values. Your mission is to consistently deliver exceptional service by providing accurate, timely, and empathetic support across a range of benefit and claim products. You'll work in a remote call centre environment, handling inquiries related to Short-Term Disability (STD), State Disability Insurance (SDI), Absence Management (AM), Long-Term Disability (LTD), Life Insurance, and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D). Key Responsibilities * Respond to inbound calls with accurate, customer-focused information regarding disability, life, and leave claims. * Gather and document relevant information to support new and ongoing claims. * Maintain detailed and accurate records in the claim system. * Issue timely claim acknowledgements and process incoming documents with precision. * Meet or exceed call centre performance metrics while remaining compliant with operational standards. * Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. * Collaborate with team members to foster a positive, flexible, and high-integrity work environment. Required Skills & Qualifications * Experience: 1-2 years in a call centre or office-based customer service role. A Bachelor's degree may substitute for experience. * Education: High school diploma or GED required. * Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and a confident phone presence. * Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). * Industry Knowledge: Experience in insurance, benefits/claims, or financial services is a plus. * Professionalism: Demonstrated reliability and tenure in previous roles. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
