Field Consultant

MFPE Position Announcement The Montana Federation of Public Employees (MFPE) seeks a qualified individual to fill the position of Field Consultant, representing locals in western Montana and administratively assigned to MFPEs Southwest Field Office, but will be based in the Missoula area. Successful applicant should possess experience and/or formal training in fields related to job description, including contract arbitration, organizing, bargaining, and labor relations. The position is responsible for organizational development, membership promotion, and representation of MFPE members at the local level. This includes organizing new bargaining units and members, providing support, training, and assistance to local union organizations, and for implementing MFPE policies and programs. MFPE is a statewide union representing thousands of members employed in all aspects of public service and education. Starting salary of $83,230. Excellent benefits including employer-paid health insurance, four weeks paid vacation, pension, and 401(k)plan. Considerable in-state travel and some out-of-state travel is required.
