The Athletics Department is seeking an Assistant Cheer Coach - Coed Team. Key Responsibilities: Program Leadership: Plan, organize, and conduct practices, conditioning, and training sessions. Develop and implement routines for games and special events. Promote a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork. Game Day & Event Coordination: Coordinate cheerleading performances at athletic events, pep rallies, and on grounds/community functions. Collaborate with the spirit coordinator for scheduling and logistics. Availability to work evenings and weekends with occasional travel. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with college, conference, and national cheer safety standards (USA Cheer). Maintain current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and concussion training. Recruitment & Retention: Recruit and retain qualified student-athletes. Assist with tryouts and team selection processes. Required Education: Bachelor's degree Required Experience: Some experience in coaching this particular sport program at the collegiate and/or professional level. Preferred Experience: Coaching experience: 3 years preferred.
