Essential Job Duties |
The person in this position is a core member of the Undergraduate Teaching, Learning, & Outreach team, which supports early-career undergraduate students through in-person and online instruction. The team introduces students to fundamental concepts in information literacy and to the Libraries spaces, services, and resources critical to their academic success. This role delivers in-person instruction and works closely with the Digital Teaching & Learning Librarian to provide creative input and technical expertise for our online learning curriculum and videos and interactive tutorials as well as working cross-departmentally with relevant stakeholders to represent the content on the Libraries' website. This position is also responsible for collecting and analyzing data on the usage of our online instructional materials to guide improvements, retire outdated content, and create new resources using tools like Google Suite, Articulate Rise and/or StoryLine, Padlet, VoiceThread, Moodle, PlayPosit, H5P, and screencapture or tutorial creation software.
This position also participates in Libraries Outreach events and provides patron services to the campus community both in person at the Ask Us desk and remotely through online support.

- Knowledge of instructional design and familiarity with the design and development of digital learning experiences
- Experience communicating complex concepts clearly and effectively to individuals or groups, whether through instruction, presentations, or customer service interactions
- Familiarity with the instructional technology required to deliver in-person and digital instruction
- Computing skills including familiarity across operating systems and fluency with all office applications
- Knowledge of digital accessibility practices and tools.
- Ability to gather, organize, and manage information or data effectively for assessment, analysis, and other purposes-ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and meaningful use
- Ability to foster an environment of belonging and well-being
- Ability to serve and collaborate with a large campus community reflecting a variety of backgrounds and disciplines
- Ability to meet high service standards in all interactions (in-person, by telephone, via e-mail and online)
