The Environmental, Health, Safety, Sustainability, & Security (EHSS&S) Manager reports to the site Plant Manager and, indirectly, to the Regional EHSS&S Manager, and owns responsibility to manage and govern all EHSS&S programs and processes at the H.B. Fuller Covington site. This position is responsible for serving as EHSS&S subject matter expert for the site and supporting overall competency and value. The person in this position will champion continuous Improvement efforts for existing and future EHSS&S programs & initiatives and establish bona-fide confidence for regulatory compliance with Federal, State, Local and Company requirements by reducing, and eliminating EHSS&S risks and liabilities.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science & Safety, or relevant field

  • 3+ years' experience in an EHSS&S role in a manufacturing environment managing OSHA, EPA, NFPA, DHS, DOT, RMP, Responsible Care, PSM, cGMP, &/or applicable Compliance regulations

  • Experience setting EHSS&S goals & objectives

  • Developing and facilitating in-house EHSS&S training

  • Incident investigation experience & root cause analyses using recognized critical thinking methods and approaches such as Ishikawa Cause & Effect, Cause Mapping, and Kepner-Tregoe

  • Procedure writing with technical and analytical skills

  • Experience interpreting Compliance regulations for management system development & business risk management; communicating the business of EHSS&S at Executive level

  • Experience managing contractors, vendors, and local, state and national agencies

  • Ability to lead and work with teams with principle, readiness, influence, focus, and hyper-vigilance

  • Manage and execute work with prioritization & flexibility

  • Ability to walk, stand, ascend and descend stairs, climb ladders without physical over-exertion and lift 50 pounds

  • Wearing PPE for head, eye, foot, respiratory, and body protection

  • Ability to travel up 10%

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

  • 5 years experience in an EHSS&S role in a manufacturing environment; managing OSHA, EPA, NFPA, DHS, DOT, RMP, Responsible Care, PSM, cGMP, &/or applicable Compliance regulations

  • State of Georgia Wastewater Class III Operator Certification

  • Certified Safety Professional

  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt

  • Demonstrates proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC).

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $115,000 - $135,000.
