Currently, the department has about 300 students who are pursuing BS degrees in chemistry, BS degrees in biochemistry, or MS degrees in Chemistry. Multiple certificate programs are also available at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Department of Chemistry invites applicants to apply for a part time instructor position during the 2025-26 academic year. The hired candidate will teach 8 courses: four in the fall and four in the spring. Courses to be assigned may include sections of: CHEM 2031 General Chemistry 1, CHEM 2061 General Chemistry 2, CHEM 3018 Inorganic Chemistry Lab, CHEM 3401 Survey of Organic Chemistry, CHEM 3498 Majors' Organic Chemistry 2 Lab, CHEM 4221/5221 Practical Applications of Spectroscopy, and CHEM 4810 General Chemistry 1. What you will do: The instructor will teach the assigned course(s), hold office hours, and submit grades at the end of each semester accordingly. Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications) Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Compensation and Benefits The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $49,289.60. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is/is not eligible for overtime compensation. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
