As a Lead Platform Product Manager within the Enterprise Data Office at Capital Group, you will lead a team of technical product managers responsible for building and evolving our internal tools and capabilities that empower teams across the organization to build, scale, and operate efficiently. This is a highly cross-functional role that combines product strategy, systems thinking, and technical collaboration to deliverable scalable platform solutions that meets the needs of both technical and business users, enabling self-service, governance, and innovation at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Define and drive a compelling product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Capital Group's enterprise platform capabilities, starting with our data governance tools and capabilities, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and evolving data needs
  • Partner with engineering, design, data teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact and measurable solutions leveraging best practices and industry trends to align priorities and roadmaps
  • Translate complex technical requirements into clear product priorities and delivery plans, ensuring platform capabilities meet the needs of internal teams and align with enterprise architecture standards
  • Apply human-centered design methodologies to deeply understand the needs of data creators, consumers, and data governance managers.
  • Collaborate with design and research teams to deliver intuitive, frictionless platform experiences.
  • Oversee end-to-end product development, from ideation through launch and iteration
  • Establish and track success metrics to evaluate product performance and inform iteration
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products by managing dependencies, risks, and trade-offs
  • Drive cross-team alignment and transparency through clear communication and documentation

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years leading and mentoring product managers
  • Proven success in technical platform product management - particularly in platform or technical tooling - driving strategy, defining roadmaps, and delivering impactful products from concept to launch
  • Demonstrated expertise in human-centered design and product discovery practices
  • Strong strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working in agile environments and influencing enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Comfortable operating in evolving environments and shifting focus as priorities change

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in data governance, privacy or compliance tooling
  • Experience working with financial data or in highly regulated environments
Southern California Base Salary Range: $173,211-$277,138 Seattle Base Salary Range: $173,211-$277,138

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
