ABOUT THE ROLE As a Maintenance Mechanic III at our Portland Distribution Center, you'll play a critical role in keeping our operations running smoothly. You'll maintain and repair a variety of equipment, with a focus on conveyor and sorter systems, ensuring everything from motors to lighting and plumbing is in top shape. WHAT YOU'LL DO Perform routine and preventive maintenance on warehouse and office equipment, including conveyors, forklifts, racking, lighting, fire protection, and plumbing systems. Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance activities. Complete tasks assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager in a safe and timely manner. Occasionally perform light janitorial duties and other facility-related tasks. Lift and carry up to 40 pounds regularly. Foster open, positive communication across departments to support smooth operations. WHO YOU ARE Adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment. A strong collaborator who communicates effectively across all levels of the organization. Able to manage time and workload efficiently under pressure. WHAT YOU BRING 5-7 years of experience maintaining warehouse equipment. Solid understanding of safety protocols including hazard communication, lockout/tagout, and emergency procedures. Intermediate computer skills. Physical ability to climb ladders, stand for long periods, and move freely throughout the facility. Proficiency with hand and power tools and a strong mechanical aptitude.
