SUMMARY
The Command-and-Control System-Joint (GCCS-J) is the Department of Defense Joint Command and Control system of record for achieving full spectrum Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence dominance. A collection of mission applications facilitating critical joint warfighting Command and Control capabilities, GCCS-J is the principal foundation for dominant battlespace awareness, providing an integrated near-real-time picture of the battlespace necessary to conduct joint and multinational operations. As the Lead Operational Test Agency, the JITC is tasked to perform Operational Effectiveness, Suitability, Interoperability, and Cybersecurity testing for the global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J) to proving findings, conclusions, and recommendations for fielding
Agile Defense is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Computer Scientist - Intermediate to provide operational test and evaluation (OT&E) and interoperability certification support to the Defense Information Systems Agency Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) Test, Evaluation, and Certification (TEC II) contract at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the operational effectiveness, suitability, interoperability, and cybersecurity of the Global Command and Control System - Joint (GCCS-J). This position requires a strong analytical skillset, experience in the full OT&E lifecycle, and the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise reports and recommendations.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Perform comprehensive test planning, execution, analysis, and reporting for GCCS-J OT&E and interoperability certification efforts.
* Develop and maintain test documentation, including test concept briefs, operational test plans, test readiness review briefs, joint interoperability certification reports, and formal OT&E reports.
* Conduct thorough reviews of complex technical architecture products, focusing on understanding GCCS-J interfaces.
* Develop and document formal software risk assessments.
* Analyze test data and generate insightful findings, conclusions, and recommendations for the Director, Operational Test & Evaluation (DOT&E) to support operational fielding determinations.
* Utilize Jira for test management and tracking.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Certifications
* Demonstrated experience with the full OT&E lifecycle, from planning to reporting.
* Strong understanding of DoD testing methodologies and processes.
* Desired: Previous experience with GCCS-J T&E.
* Proficiency in designing, executing, analyzing, and reporting OT&E activities.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
* Proficiency with Jira agile project management software.
Education, Background, and Years of Experience
* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 4 years of experience working with GCCS-J Weapons System
* Minimum 4 years of experience performing OT&E, interoperability testing, and data analysis.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions
* Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Strength Demands
* Light - 20 lbs. Maximum lifting with frequent lift/carry up to 10 lbs. A job is light if less lifting is involved but significant walking/standing is done or if done mostly sitting but requires push/pull on arm or leg controls.
