Summary
Responsible for administering stress tests to patients to assess their cardiovascular health under the direction of a physician.

Essential Functions
-Prepare patients for stress tests by explaining the procedure and answering any questions they may have.

-Apply electrodes and other monitoring devices to patients to measure their heart rate, blood pressure, and other vital signs during the test.

-Administer stress tests, such as exercise stress tests or pharmacological stress tests, to evaluate the patient's cardiovascular health.

-Monitor patients during the stress test and responding to any issues or complications that arise.

-Document results of the stress test and communicating them to the supervising physician.

-Maintain equipment and ensuring that it is functioning properly.

-Assist in the scheduling of stress tests and other cardiology procedures.

-Participate in quality assurance and improveme

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology Preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS (AHA)] - American Heart Association (AHA) preferred Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred Certified Cardiographic Technician [CCT] - Cardiovascular Credentialing International preferred

Experience
Experience in or specialized training in stress testing and cardiovascular health stress testing and cardiovascular health 1-2 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure are all important for success in this role.
