Responsibilities

The Keysight Primary Standards Lab is looking for technically qualified individuals who can perform highly accurate and precise calibrations including measurement uncertainty creation and analysis, and guardbanding techniques.
Specifically, you'll be part of a team calibrating and maintaining 3458A Digital Multimeters, multifunction calibrators, thermal voltage converters, four terminal pair standards, resistors, shunts and similar reference and primary level standards.

The position will challenge you to:

Perform complex and highly precise AC/DC calibrations utilizing automated systems and manual techniques.
Independently solves complex technical problems, and provides advice on set-up, applications and issues related to compatibility, site-prep, ESD etc.
Take a lead role in improving current processes by analyzing data from reports, verbal inputs and querying databases.
Determine root cause and initiate corrective actions that enhance the process.
Lead, and interface effectively with both external and internal customers manufacturing division engineering and support groups.
Research and recommend new test equipment for improved testing proficiency and cost effectiveness.


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or Engineering, with 5+ years of experience in Military Metrology (PMEL) or relevant work in calibration of test measurement equipment-or a combination of both.
  • Demonstrate direct experience in a Standards Laboratory environment (highly desired).
  • Possess a solid understanding of Measurement Uncertainty application and calculations, Measurement Guardbanding, and other principles associated with the highest level of traceability directly to SI units. Maintain working knowledge of current quality standards including ANSI/ISO 9001, ANSI/Z540.3, and ISO/IEC 17025.
  • Perform calibration, adjustment, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of test and measurement equipment down to the assembly level.
  • Take independent action and initiative, interfacing effectively with team members, customers, and management.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of business ethics.
  • Maintain high workmanship standards and consistently deliver on commitments. Promote ESD and other programs that support high-quality service delivery and minimize re-repair.
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills, including experience in software development, software modification processes, and automated calibration systems.
  • Solve non-standard, "one-of-a-kind" problems by developing new or customized solutions.
  • Leverage technical expertise to fix, enhance, or develop automated calibration procedures, and document results in a format that integrates seamlessly into Service Center processes.
  • Provide leadership and facilitate discussions among Service personnel, cross-functional teams, and trade customers regarding technical issues and problem resolution. Support formal presentations on technical matters to customers, engineering teams, and management.

The level of role will be based on applicable experience, education and skills; Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed below.

USD $64,470.00 - USD $107,440.00 Year
