As the Director of Transportation & Fleet Optimization, you'll lead initiatives that improve route efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance fleet performance. You'll manage vendor relationships, integrate cutting-edge technologies, and collaborate across the supply chain to support operational goals.


What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute transportation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Oversee fleet acquisition, maintenance, and lifecycle optimization
  • Manage national carrier and 3PL relationships, contracts, and service levels
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to align transportation solutions with business needs
  • Support sustainability and innovation initiatives in transportation and fleet operations
  • Use performance analytics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred in Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics or Operations)
  • 8+ years of experience in transportation and fleet operations management; ideally a national/decentralized organizational program(s)
  • Experience with TMS, ERP, and fleet management systems
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%; reside within 30 miles of major/international airport
  • Proven success in route optimization, cost reduction, and vendor management
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and routing systems
  • Must be authorized to work for Sonepar in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future
