Co-Op Engineer

Position Title: Co-OP Engineer

Work Location: Minnetonka, MN 55345

Assignment Duration: 06 months

Position Summary: The Co-op works under limited supervision to assist R&D engineers, technicians and teams with building and shipping heart models, testing of medical devices, fixture design and misc. lab functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in building and shipping heart models.
• Creating/molding tissue targets for model.
• Conduct design verification testing.
• Adhere to good lab and documentation practices.
• Ensure quality is built into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance with all quality requirements.

• Candidates must be currently enrolled at an accredited undergraduate or graduate engineering program GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Minimum of one-year relevant experience.
• Proficient in test methodologies.
• Strong mechanical, analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Candidate must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the 6-month Co-op session.
