Engineering Analyst Intern
Your tasks

Position Summary:

The role of the Engineering Intern Analyst is focused on supporting the engineering team in providing consulting solutions and practices that are aligned with the long-term interests of our clients, the company, and the communities in which we live. This role is a critical component of SIG's diverse team of sustainability professionals tasked with delivering projects spanning all phases of the building lifecycle for a large roster of commercial real estate clients. The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about sustainability, a lifelong learner, creative, flexible, and capable of driving project outcomes while ensuring client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Project Management & Execution

Assist with the MEP Commissioning process, explore new and existing mechanical systems

Support LEED projects and online applications (Energy Audits, Ventilation calcs, and more)

- Support ASHRAE Level I and Level II Energy Audit calculations and reporting

Develop technical skills related to energy audits, building management, and indoor environmental quality

Assist with Utility bill analysis and associated calculations

Potential for occasional site visits to active projects (with another SIG employee)

The anticipated hourly pay for this internship position is $22/hour. Actual base pay will be determined based on various factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity.

Your qualifications

Education and Experience:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree related to Environmental Science, Mechanical Engineering, Sustainability Management, etc.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with acute attention to detail.

Ability to analyze data, evaluate outcomes, and recommend actions.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Commitment to excellence and high standards.
