This position is funded for 12 months; continuation past 12 months will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding. POSITION SPECIFICS The Tooker Lab at The Pennsylvania State University seeks a Research Technologist to carry out tasks related to the development, design, and execution of research projects and experiments in both laboratory and field settings. The selected candidate will implement research methodologies and keep faculty and researchers in the lab group updated on progress of research. Responsibilities: The Research Technologist will collect, enter, check data, and identifying any issues related to data integrity. With appropriate training and/or supervision, selected candidate may analyze and interpret some datasets. The selected candidate will provide guidance on research techniques and equipment usage. The Research Technologist will assist with day-to-day project operations and oversee overall laboratory functions, including purchasing necessary items, maintaining supplies, conducting maintenance or repairs, keeping research spaces neat and organized and ensuring proper documentation. MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. SALARY & BENEFITS The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $34,800.00 - $50,500.00.
