COMMUNICATIONS AND GRAPHIC DESIGN MANAGER

DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

PART TIME (24 HOURS) NON-EXEMPT

General Summary: The Communications and Graphic Design Manager is responsible for developing and executing a cohesive brand strategy through visual design and targeted communications. This includes managing internal and external communications/social media, designing marketing and outreach materials, and ensures brand consistency.

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 1st Shift

Location: Warwick, RI

Salary: Starting at $26/hr, depending on experience

Essential Responsibilities:

Communications



  • Manage all social media platforms.
  • Responsible for all email marketing (Constant Contact emails and database management)
  • Implement Thrive's Communication Plan through partnership with Half Street Group
  • Coordinate internal communications to keep staff informed and engaged
  • Responsible for video production management
  • Prepares monthly/quarterly reports on social media and communication activities
  • Manage distribution list for use in Thrive mailings
  • Represents Thrive on HHP Communications Team



Graphic Design



  • Design visually compelling graphics, brochures, marketing collateral, direct mail campaigns, etc. for digital and print, consistent with Thrive's brand
  • Assist with event planning and advertising/marketing of Thrive events
  • Manage and maintain brand identity and ensure consistency across all program communications
  • Oversee design, copy and visual effectiveness of website



Additional Responsibilities:




  • Must attend all agency/department required training and meetings within the prescribed time frame.
  • Attends all Safety Training programs and be able to describe his/her responsibilities related to the general safety, department safety, and specific job-related hazards and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all clients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
  • Present a neat appearance in proper attire and identification as required by the position, department and agency polices & procedures.
  • Must work the hours and/or shift assigned, and begin and end on time.
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance which meets Rhode Island minimum standards required, or the ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job.
  • Function as a member of a team, i.e. be a "Team Player"
  • Carry and enliven a positive Thrive image consistent with the Thrive's Guiding Principles and professional code of ethics.



Education, Experience, Competencies:



  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations or relevant field.
  • 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in Photoshop or Canva
  • Proven experience creating targeted content is advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
  • Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel and Constant Contact
  • Experience in donor database systems and InDesign a plus



Certifications, Licenses Requirements:




  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance which meets Rhode Island minimum standards required, or the ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job.

All employees are considered benefit eligible if their schedule is 17.5 hours per week or more. Time-off balances are pro-rated for part-time employees. Insurance plans remain the same regardless of FT or PT benefit eligibility.
