Job Summary:

Under the guidance of the Director of Technology and Operations Development, the Senior Manager of Technology and Operations Development is a leadership role solely accountable for building and nurturing strong, direct partnerships between the Technology organization and assigned business units.

This role actively facilitates the understanding of business needs and demand, ensuring effective collaboration within the enterprise Program structure. The Senior Manager leads and mentors Business Analysts and works directly with business stakeholders to translate needs into technology requirements, foster adoption, and ensure value realization at the business unit level.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Strategic Partnership & Relationship Management: Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, aligning technology strategies with business goals and advocating for business unit technological needs.
  • Technology Demand Management: Identify and prioritize business unit technology needs in alignment with governance processes, resource availability, and business value through documentation and communication with Program Management teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Program Management, Project Managers, and Technology teams to ensure initiatives meet business objectives and deliver value while providing business context and insights.
  • Business Value & Adoption: Drive measurement of business value through KPIs, support of user adoption, gathering feedback, and collaboration on training and change management strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Champion technology awareness within business units, facilitating communication between stakeholders and tech teams, and monitoring satisfaction and outcomes.
  • Business Analysis Leadership: Lead and mentor Business Analysts, ensuring effective translation of business needs into technology solutions and fostering a high-performing team.
  • Team Development & Strategy: Own the strategic direction of Business Analysis, ensuring the team's skills align with current and future needs, and supporting ongoing professional development.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements (Work Experience, Skills, Licenses, etc.):



  • Deep understanding of business strategy, processes, and challenges across various functional areas.
  • Strong understanding of technology service management principles and technology capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with business leaders.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into well-defined requirements and facilitate effective change adoption.
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.


Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a field related to the area of business relationship management.


Required:



  • 10+ years in roles focused on building relationships between business and technology.
  • 5+ years leading and managing teams.


Desired:



  • Relevant certifications (e.g., BRMP, CBAP, PROSCI Change Management, ITIL) are a plus.

Travel Requirements:

Travel required 10-15% of the time to other applicable trade conferences and collaborations.

Hours:

This is an exempt position. Workdays are scheduled from Monday through Friday. Typically, work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm as scheduled with the position's supervisor. Occasional overtime may be necessary for business needs.

Physical Demands:



  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Prolonged sitting.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch.


Competitive Wages:

$157,000 to $225,000 Annual Salary. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
