We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst IV to join our team at Cherokee Nation Businesses. In this role, you will compile and analyze financial data, develop integrated revenue/expense analyses, and create comprehensive reports and presentations. Your expertise will be crucial in driving strategic financial decisions and ensuring the overall financial health of the organization.

Financial Analyst IV Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducts in-depth financial analysis to support strategic business decision-making processes.

  • Develops and maintains financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

  • Provides recommendations to optimize financial performance and resource allocation.

  • Leads program management in the development of Estimates at Completion ("EAC").

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial data and insights.

  • Prepares and presents comprehensive financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting EAC trends, variations, and potential impacts on overall financial health.

  • Monitors key financial metrics, identify trends, and assess potential risks and opportunities.

  • Reconciles unbilled, confirming revenue and invoicing stay in alignment.

  • Monitors receivables and partners with billing/finance team to address any billing issues.

  • Supports the annual budgeting and planning processes.

  • Participates in the implementation and improvement of financial systems and processes.

  • Stays abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in financial analysis.

  • Mentors and provides guidance to junior members of the financial analysis team.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Financial Analyst IV Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or other related field
  • 10 or more years of analytical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, incorporating EAC methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to proficiency use and learn financial software applications.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles and FAR government financial regulations.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Integrity and a commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
  • Must have advanced skills with Microsoft Suite Products, especially Excel.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
