Develops vision, strategy, and long-term goals for serving internal customers with GSK's software

development tools and platforms, automation, chat bots, AI/Virtual assistants, and enterprise search

solutions; Leads and manages the software engineering teams, systems, services, and support that deliver GSK's Intelligent/Hyperautomation, developer software, and AI tool strategy across the global Enterprise; Leads and manages the software engineering teams, systems, services, and support that deliver GSK's developer tools and platforms across the global Enterprise, including setting the strategic direction and optimized usage of those platforms throughout the developer community; Leads, directs, and manages the teams and services that build and run software, automation, and development platforms consisting of GSK employees, strategic partner contract workers and outsourced vendor support; Leads and governs GSK engineering best practices (i.e., Agile, DevOps, microservice architecture) in conjuncture with GSK Enterprise Architecture; Cultivate strong partnerships Technology, BU Technology, and Business teams as consultant and guide for Product & Design, ensuring roles/responsibilities are clear and communicated; Ensure technical & operational delivery is fully compliant with GSK Security, Quality and Regulatory standards; Coach and mentor engineers at varying levels to perform as one unified, effective, and agile team and develop their skills in partnering with customer teams on product and design features/capabilities; Manage planning, overall execution, and success of complex technical projects involving multiple internal/external stakeholders including stakeholder relationship management; Identify process improvement and productivity improvement methods; Manage customer/internal escalations and difficult customer situations and issues; Define, track, and improve operational metrics through continuous improvement initiatives; Collaborate with vendors and strategic partners to collaborate on co-development initiatives and appropriately resource the team for capitalizable projects.

Basic Qualifications Must have a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology

or a related technical field plus: 5 years of experience in the following: Planning and executing proof of concepts, proof of value, and production projects using at least one of the following: Azure DevOps, GitHub, or Jenkins using SAFe/Agile methodology; Delivering software automation and DevOps products that meet Sarbanes-Oxley, Cybersecurity, and GxP compliance/validation. 3 years of experience in the following: Building end-to-end enterprise search platforms using scientific data sources, metadata, access control, and relevancy tuning; Building Conversational AI-enabled virtual assistants with Natural Language Processing (NLP) capabilities with Intent Detection and Entity Recognition; Building NLP services using at least one of the following: IBM Watson, Azure Language Understanding or Amazon Alexa; Using Enterprise Scale Microservices & APIs and containerization tech including Docker and Kubernetes; Developing integrations with at least two of the following: Twilio, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Facebook Messenger, Twitter, or Microsoft Teams; Building enterprise solutions using at least two of the following: Microfocus IDOL, Elastic Search, Sinequa, Web data indexing, SharePoint, Veeva, Documentum, Azure Data Lake, Azure Storage, Active Directory, or ServiceNow. May work remotely consistent with company policy--must work from Philadelphia, PA office location 2 times per week. Travel required up to 25% split between Domestic and International.
