Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Painter Helper to assist in the preparation and painting of various components, sub-assemblies, and finished products. The ideal candidate will support the painting process, ensuring all tasks meet the high-quality standards set by PCX. A Day In The Life Assist in preparing materials for painting, including sandblasting, grinding, and buffing using appropriate tools and equipment. Help in the safe operation of overhead cranes and forklifts to maneuver materials in and out of the paint booth. Support the operation, cleaning, and maintenance of paint equipment and the paint booth. Assist in mixing and applying paint and related coatings to steel equipment under supervision. Help maintain accurate production records, tracking the usage of paint and solvents. Assist in the proper disposal of hazardous waste in compliance with safety and EPA regulations. Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient workflow and minimize downtime related to painting processes. What will help you thrive in this role? High School Diploma or GED preferred. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus. Familiarity with the use of PPE such as respirators. Basic understanding of MIL-Spec paint standards and application techniques. Ability to follow instructions and support time management in production schedules. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety. Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Basic knowledge of spray equipment maintenance and repair is advantageous.
