The Sustainment CPT Lead will be responsible for overseeing ASRR development to ensure the system meets sustainment requirements including mission and operational availability, safety, human factors, and training. The ideal candidate will work closely with the U.S. Army, foreign military clients, ASRR partners, and internal engineering teams to ensure successful long-term sustainment of ISR systems in military operations, meeting mission-critical requirements and operational demands.

Responsibilities

Sustainment Requirements and System Oversight:
Oversee ASRR development to ensure system meets sustainment requirements including mission and operational availability, safety, human factors, and training requirements
  • Analyze subsystem RMA (Reliability, Maintainability, Availability) design factors to determine whether the overall ASRR system meets specified mission requirements
  • Perform failure modes and effects analyses to identify opportunities to improve ASRR performance and operational readiness
  • Evaluate subsystem RMA designs to determine adequacy of ASRR partner sparing plans and logistics support
Team Leadership and Resource Management:
  • Supervise Supply Chain Manager, Manufacturing SME, Facilities Engineer, and PHST Specialist to ensure availability of components and supplies to meet ASRR schedules
  • Coordinate team activities to support sustainment objectives and ensure effective resource allocation
  • Work with ASRR partners to proactively address sustainment concerns and coordinate joint sustainment planning
  • Lead sustainment planning activities across multiple organizations and stakeholder groups
Field Support and Issue Resolution:
  • Track and manage field issues, corrective actions, and performance metrics across all ASRR deployments
  • Interface directly with end-users, government stakeholders, and support contractors to address sustainment issues in real time
  • Investigate and determine root cause of observed failures and recommend changes to improve system performance including preventive maintenance procedures
  • Support fielding, testing, and evaluation of system modifications and enhancements
System Maintenance and Upgrades:
  • Participate in system upgrades, patching, and integration activities, ensuring minimal downtime and mission impact
  • Coordinate maintenance activities across multiple deployment sites and ensure operational continuity
  • Determine impact of level of repair analyses and logistic delays on RMA requirements
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize operational disruption during system modifications
Reliability and Performance Analysis:
  • Communicate results of reliability analyses to ASRR and Customer leadership
  • Monitor system performance metrics and identify trends that may impact long-term sustainment
  • Evaluate maintenance data and operational feedback to identify system improvement opportunities
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to implement design changes that improve system reliability and maintainability
Human Systems Integration and Safety:
  • Ensure that all aspects of human-system integration are addressed including safety, health hazards, and human engineering requirements
  • Ensure all human-machine interfaces meet MIL-STD-1472 standards and other applicable human factors requirements
  • Review and approve safety procedures for ASRR sites and coordinate safety compliance across all deployment locations
  • Coordinate training requirements and ensure personnel are adequately prepared for system operation and maintenance
Documentation and Compliance:
  • Develop and manage sustainment-related contract data requirements deliverables
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of sustainment activities, performance metrics, and corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with military standards (MIL-STD, MIL-PRF) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) regulations
  • Generate regular sustainment status reports including safety, warranty, and end item status reporting
System Development and Integration Support:
  • Contribute to creation of sustainment-focused system specifications, architecture, and requirements documentation
  • Support system-level testing and verification efforts with emphasis on sustainment and reliability validation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to long-term system performance and maintainability
  • Participate in risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for sustainment-related risks
