Mutual of Omaha is seeking a seasoned, multi-disciplinary Architect with deep expertise in designing integrated, scalable, and secure technology solutions across data, application, and integration domains. This critical role will support our Member Data & Benefit Enrollment Agile Release Train (ART), helping ensure our enrollment platforms, customer data ecosystems, and supporting technologies are reliable, intuitive, and strategically aligned.
This position plays a pivotal role in delivering technical strategy and architectural leadership across multiple disciplines-data modeling, API development, cloud-native architecture, and user-facing systems-ensuring consistency and quality in experience for customers and partners alike.
As a Lead Architect within the Member Data & Benefit Enrollment ART, you will define, evolve, and advocate for end-to-end architecture that meets the evolving needs of group benefits products and services. Your ability to influence outcomes, support cross-functional collaboration, solve complex challenges with clarity and participate in crucial constructive conversations will be essential in shaping the technical future of Workplace Solutions.

- Estimated Salary: $160,000 - $185,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Architecture Leadership: Lead the design and implementation of integrated technology solutions supporting benefit enrollment, member onboarding, and data integrity. Provide architectural leadership across systems, data, and APIs with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and user experience.
- Strategic Planning & Alignment: Collaborate with domain, enterprise, and solution architects to interpret business strategies and define aligned technology roadmaps. Translate vision into tangible system architectures that support enrollment accuracy, customer data continuity, and business agility in alignment to evolving business strategies and the vision for the future.
- Platform & Data Strategy: Shape the architecture of platforms that govern group member data, eligibility, and omni-channel enrollment workflows. Ensure data models and interfaces align with internal standards and support flexible integration with third-party platforms.
- Innovation & Evaluation: Drive architectural innovation through white-boarding, design workshops, and proof-of-concept (POC) evaluations. Introduce modern design approaches that reduce technical debt and unlock new business capabilities.
- Agile Partnership: Operate as a strategic partner within the Agile Release Train (ART), participating in PI planning and guiding delivery teams with clear architectural vision, security guardrails, and performance standards while collaborating across ARTs as necessary.
- Mentorship & Influence: Coach engineers, analysts, and product owners in architectural best practices. Foster cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing while ensuring alignment to enterprise architecture standards.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
5+ years of enterprise architecture experience across disciplines (data, application, integration, cloud) with demonstrated leadership in delivering complex solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities. Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex topics to both technical and business stakeholders.

- Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:
Experience integrating external platforms and enrollment partners. Experience with MuleSoft, Kafka, AWS, noSQL data systems such as Mongo DB and GitHub.
