Ping Identity is looking for an experienced Technical Writer III to join our team and help us create world-class developer-focused content, including APIs, SDKs, use cases, etc. You'll play a critical role in shaping how developers interact with the Ping Identity platform, empowering them to build seamlessly and confidently with our technology. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with engineers and product managers to craft content that's technically accurate, but also easy to understand and read. Whether you're documenting new API endpoints or writing use cases, your work will have a direct impact on the success of our growing developer community. You will: - Create comprehensive technical documentation for a developer audience - Stay current on identity security technologies and Ping Identity product releases - Revise existing API documentation and create content for new APIs, use cases, and other developer-oriented resources - Collaborate with lead writers, engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements - Develop documentation plans and schedules - Achieve and maintain relevant product knowledge - Maintain consistency in tone and style. You have: - Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, or a related field, or Master's Degree in Technical Communication, or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems - 5+ years of technical writing, preferably for SaaS products - Experience writing content for developer audiences - 2+ years of demonstrable, recent experience in API documentation - Experience with Git and Markdown - Experience testing API queries successfully and verifying response data - Experience with writing in a Docs as Code environment - Proven ability and initiative to learn new tools and technologies - Excellent written and verbal English-language communication skills - Strong attention to detail, with an eye for improving existing work. You have an advantage if you have: - Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) or software security - Experience with AsciiDoc - Experience with enterprise documentation projects and audiences - Experience as a developer evangelist - Experience with content reuse - Experience with IT or application support. Salary Range: $96,000 - $110,000 In accordance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
